Cash Converters Montague Gardens opened its doors on the 10th of April 1997 as the 8th store in South Africa. After five years of trade the decision was taken to re-locate the store to its current address. In the process it was enlarged to become the largest store in Cape Town and so is able to trade in furniture and appliances as well as the traditional Cash Converters stock in trade. In June 2009 the store was bought by Richard and Tina Hawes. Since arriving the store has increased and improved its stock. A revamp of the whole store is in process which will be completed by April 2010.

The store now trades on Sundays and always strives to give the best possible service. The buy shop is always open and also offers House Buy options. Cash Advance loans are available and the Pay Day Advance will be available from April 2010.
