Jumper Leads

Jumper leads (or jumper cables) are thick, insulated electrical wires with large alligator clips at each end. They temporarily connect a dead vehicle battery to a working battery from another car or power pack to transfer electrical charge and start the engine.

Never let clamps touch: Keep the metal ends from touching each other while attached to a power source.Disconnect in reverse: Remove the cables in the exact opposite order of how you put them on.Check the voltage: Make sure both vehicle systems use the same voltage (usually 12V).
