Making a difference in our local communities

Community is at the heart of what we do

Besides the positive impact that Cash Converters makes on a daily basis for its customers – to consume less, consume better and create systemic change, community is also an ever-important cog in the Cash Converters wheel. It is paramount to the Cash Converters teams to make a difference to the local individuals and families living close to our various stores. This is why, as a company, Cash Converters is proud to be actively involved in various CSI initiatives in the communities in which we operate.

Varied initiatives; same positive outcome

The CSI Initiatives that Cash Converters is involved in is varied. In Pretoria, the Cash Converters Gift Acres store is an annual (partial) sponsor of the Lynnwood Cyclery Youth Team. Further afield in Windhoek, both Cash Converters BPI House and Cash Converters MegaCentre are involved in an annual blanket drive. In Greyville, Durban, the Cashies™ store there makes a monthly donation to a local school and the SPCA.

Small donations; big impact

There have also been smaller recent once-off donations – with an equally big impact to those on the receiving end. These donations have included R10 000 from Cash Converters Woodmead to Little Forest Centre for children with special needs; and Cash Converters Benoni donating a laptop to Peanuts Little Edu-Care, an underprivileged school in Daveyton. The Midrand Mall store donated a fridge and mobile aircon to the local police station – and donated baby formula and nappies to New Jerusalem Children’s Home, which has been championing children’s rights for over two decades. No matter what the initiative, Cash Converters is proud to play its part by helping our local communities, however we can.
